Hey everyone, i don’t know if this post will technically be allowed, but I honestly am looking for some good juju to be sent my way.

My boyfriend and I have a cat, she’s spayed and almost 5. She’s still very very playful! I’ve been wanting another cat for almost a while now, but my boyfriend is hesitant. I worry too that she won’t tolerate a kitten being introduced to her life much longer since she’s getting to adult age.

He is very smart, and he is usually the voice of reason in most situations, and this one is not different. (I can be pretty impulsive, I’m an adult (22F) with ADHD that was only recently diagnosed). But there is always something keeping him from it. “Our place is too small, we won’t be able to travel easily,” Our place is a 950 sqft apartment and our cat is like 8 lbs (she’s always been a petite lady)

Which is hard for me to hear because i have so much love in my heart, and i worry that i smother our cat with so much love that she hates it. She is not the cuddly type and would rather sit across the room and sleep, but of course i love her very much.

Anyways, the only way my bf said we could get a cat is if it “happens upon us”, like the cat distribution system chooses us. Which is a bummer too, because I work at an animal hospital and there have been a good few kittens who have needed homes but he’s always said that someone else will love them and provide a home for them (which is a very reassuring thing). I just want it to be my turn you guys!!!

Please send good vibes so that another baby will find us when the time is right, or some advice to help me from having kitten fever 😫
