I was laid off last year, and during the first round of interview I somehow said I quit (I feel really bad), if I email him saying I want to correct my answer, how could I phrase it?

Edit: adding some background, I originally implied I quit to move to another country for family reason, but I’m in finance so there’s U5, which will show my reason for leaving.
