Thanks to the luck of the draw, 2 out of 3 of my cats have stomatitis. My first girl, Gwen, was diagnosed with juvenile stomatitis at around 1.5yrs old and had a total mouth extraction done within a few months of being diagnosed.
Now, almost 3 years later my baby boy Anakin has been diagnosed with juvenile stomatitis at only 2.5yrs old. He got part 1 of his total mouth extraction done yesterday, and will have the remainder of his teeth pulled in 1 month.
They both have herpes virus which has probably led to them developing it at such a young age. I never thought I would be dealing with it, let alone having 2 out of 3 of my cats having it. They’re sweet babies and deserve to not be in pain anymore.
