in march of 2025 i moved to a different state to be with my boyfriend/fiance. I brought my two cats with me and we slowly introduced them to his sisters cats. (his sister is away on campus at college). Since i moved in the cats have mostly gotten along fine but the cat keeps peeing in my room and on my bed. They have a house rule that if the cat continuously pees on furniture and it isn’t medical then the cat has to become a barn cat. for the past year this cat has peed on my bed every week for six months straight and then stopped for one month (im assuming it was because the sister was back for winter break) but has since started back again. my mother in law swears that she has told her that if the cat keeps peeing on furniture (they are already having to replace a recliner) that the cat will either be rehomed or put outside. this is the fifth time in two weeks that my bed has been peed on to the point ive had to bleach my mattress. im not sure what to do or voice that im uncomfortable with the cat being in the house. i’ve already told my boyfriend/fiance that if it doesn’t get fixed im either moving back in with my mom (4 and a half hours away) or he has to find me other living arrangements. i really dont know what to do please help me. i dont wanna lose my boyfriend/fiance over this
