Just adopted my girl about a week ago, it’s been great and she’s been settling in very well. She’s a 3 year old Domestic Medium-hair, which is kind of where my current problem lies as just a bit ago she had some runny poo/diarrhea and it is well into her fur. I’ve managed to clean off a good bit of it with wet paper towel which she was not a fan of, but it seems she’s finally had enough and won’t let me anywhere near her. I’m exhausted and have to be up for work in 4 hours, what’s the best course of action here? Wait until tomorrow and bring to a groomer? Keep chasing her around?

As far as the runny stool, I don’t know what could’ve cause it, she hasn’t had any digestion issues since I’ve had her, she gets Purina cat chow naturals savory chicken and lean turkey on an auto feeder, although she never eats enough to empty her bowl and every once in a while I’ll feed her a Delectables squeeze up handheld treat (chicken flavor). After using the litter box she went and ate some food so hopefully that’s a sign her stomach isn’t bothering her?

TLDR: new cat owner that currently has a cat with a poopy butt that is refusing cleaning, don’t know how to go about this.
