Hi all, I got my 6 month cat neutered recently. He was perfect post-op but would beg to play although I’d discourage it. I kept him in a medium sized room he was familiar with. 25 hours after the neuter he started leaving blood on bedding and spots of blood on the floor where he’d sit. Then he left an about a teaspoon of blood on the couch where he was sleeping. I have since moved him to a much smaller space (walk-in closet) where he can’t climb or run. He’s still leaving small spots of blood where he sits, but it’s not large amounts. I noticed one of his incisions has blood around it and is more red… is it opening or infected? Should I take him back to the vet to get it checked or will it close up since I’ve put him in a more secure, calm space? It seems to be bleeding less (the blood photos are in chronological order, 1 day post operation).
