About a month ago our cat got a wound on his leg. He goes outside, so we don’t know what exactly happened, but we took him to the vet immediately and did shots. The vet only said to disinfect the place. It seemed it was getting better but the swelling remained. After some time, it burst and had this wounds. I blame myself as I didn’t know that it was an abscess. Only later I saw some pus on the wound. We took him to the vet again and are currently treating the place of the old abscess that had burst but it seems like a new abscess is forming above it again. We had all the antibiotic shots and are applying Mastisef after disinfecting. I am extremely scared and as the vet says it’s quite serious and may even lead to amputation. Please could you share if you have any advice and what else could be done if you had any similar situations?🙏🏻
