Privately Funded Seattle Waterfront Trail to Soft Launch Friday

Riders will get a sneak peek of the new trail for a few hours on the first day of cruise ship season, providing a detour around Pier 66. The full stretch opens next Tuesday, providing a wide, comfortable path between downtown and the Olympic Sculpture Park.

We’re getting lots of great bike infrastructure around the waterfront lately, and this looks like it will be a nice addition.

    I just ran down this stretch the other day. The area down by the sculpture park looks like it got a big make-over with new landscaping and I think it’ll look great.
