I’m thinking of maybe household necessities like washing-up liquid or bleach. Or maybe toothpaste… are there websites where I can buy them wholesale for better prices?

I know this sounds mental but one of the best things I ever bought in bulk was… Bobbins.

Years and years and years we went without ever hunting for a poxy bobbin. It was very little money too.

Edit: I bought them on eBay at the time but this was before the likes of Shein or Amazon were as big as they are now.

Obviously it requires having several people who need bobbins in your house. I find Lidl so cheap for the likes of toothpaste and bleach that I wouldn’t take up the space in my house with a bulk buy of them.

Well in that case…I bought a selection from the one seller. Think I got 350. My wife thought I was completely mental but time was on my side. :)

We eventually did go through them but we got about 7 or 8 years of never looking and what a difference that made to mornings in particular.

            Great idea.

I’m going to offer you a piece of advice here though because I’m a “never look for a pair of socks” man and I also love good socks.

Years and years ago someone bought me a pair of Nike dri-fit socks. Put them on. Like having your feet caressed by an angel.

This is great says me. Then every time my wife or kids asked me what I wanted for my birthday or Christmas… You guessed it … Black Nike dri-fit socks. This went on until they complained that they wanted to get me something other than socks hahaha.

Now I open the sock drawer and pick any two and instant pair. Magic. No pairing required because honestly who has time for that.

So yeah great idea. I’d just suggest being careful and getting some up front so you know they’re not sweaty or whatever. The elastic around your arch is the good stuff.

Edit: I did think of something else the other day and meant to reply then when I went to I’d forgotten but it’ll come to me.

One thing I did buy 10 of before was HDMI cables but I was in a market in China at the time and before COVID. Think I paid about 2 euro each because myself and my mate got ten each and they did a deal.

I’m sure they’re cheap in bulk online now though. No regrets there but my requirements might not be the same as yours.

Oh! Another one popped into my head…I bought either 500 or 200 Ibuprofen in a Walgreens in the states. I think it cost around 30 dollars. You have to be there unfortunately (maybe you can buy online these days but customs are cranky here) but they lasted forever and saved an absolute fortune.

Edit: these are the ones I got. 500 coated tablets. They’re 25 USD. Savage value.

I do the same thing for the same reason with toiletries: toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, shampoo and body wash. It just annoys me to run out of them so one wall is just stacked with stuff like that. And like yourself, other people will use them so I can’t really over do it. I aim to buy a one year supply once per year.

I know some people used places like Musgraves to buy things for their business (or their homes, bought through the business) but I’m not sure how much cheaper they are these days.

I just buy in Aldi because I have easy transport to there. But there are probably better deals out there I don’t know of. I’m limited to Sensodine for my sensitive teeth coz I can’t even handle a cold glass of water otherwise.
