Basically, what the title says, I’m 27 going on 28, and I graduated with a degree in animation in 2023. I know that the animation industry is a bit wonky right now and has been ever since COVID; however, outside of being an animator, I work as a freelance artist and designer. I considered myself lucky as an undergraduate since I worked a variety of jobs during my time in college, mainly part-time positions that gave me extensive administrative and office management skills, yet I can’t seem to get a foot in the door anywhere. I’ve been mainly applying for entry-level admin or data entry work for the better part of the last 3 years but I can’t seem to get a legitimate job interview anywhere, and all I’m being hit with are rejection emails or being ghosted. I know that a lot of people my age are struggling to get a job, but I really want to know if there’s really anything more I can do to try to make myself stand out atp? I’ve tweaked and retooled my resume numerous times over the last few months but still to no avail.
