This is Apollo who I primarily call Little man. He’s a rescue that I adopted from my former manager who had found him and his siblings after being dumped. He’s my child who I love so so much. Two days ago my husband told me he noticed something odd with my boy’s bathroom habits. We thought he was struggling to pee so we immediately took him to the vet. That was a scary moment where I thought something was wrong with his kidneys. I balled my eyes out for sure.

Turns out he was struggling to poop, not pee. He was actually backed up and almost impacted. It was so bad I had to leave him at the vet the next day so he could be cleaned out. So after a lot of crying and $1000 I didn’t have, he is all cleaned out. More money will be needed as well because he will have to go back to have another X-ray to make sure his colon has gone back to normal. He will also need another urinalysis to make sure the crystals they found is a fluke and not the start of kidney stones.

All of this has been so stressful but I’m so happy my Little man is doing okay and I had too share my first scare with my child.
