Like the title suggests, watch os 10 has more or less ruined the apple watch experience for me. For context, i was a new apple watch user, with my first apple watch being the SE 1st gen back in january of 2022. I loved switching between the different watch faces with a simple swipe, being able to access the control center with a swipe up and opening the multitasking tab with just the press of the button underneath the crown. Even the animations felt smoother back then. Now, everytime i need to access the multitasking tab, i need to double press the crown. I hate switching between the watch faces and the animations definitely feel a bit slower compared to the previous OS version. These might seem like minor inconveniences but I don’t know, i wish i could switch back to the older version.
Cry cry cry cry. Lmao
I agree. I’d switch between watch faces multiple times a day, now I don’t and I don’t like it. And the weather complication does not seem to work since installed (I haven’t tried troubleshooting but it should just work, not require any more time).
And of course, battery life is far worse now. It was a step change downward.I’m not sure if it’s just a few users facing these issues but i could not agree with you more! The battery life’s very unstable on my watch se and the bugs are definitely there.
Do still use 10.0? The weather complication problem should be fixed in the current version (10.1.1).
Not yet upgraded to 10.1.1. I saw some posts where the battery got WORSE and since my watch is a S4 I was hesitant to further change the software.
Yall are so dramatic sometimes I swear
Yeah the apple subs are bumming me out for this reason
oh boohoo, i dont appreciate it either but it didnt send me into a spiraling depression because i have to click a button instead of swipe up
I wasn’t really spiralling into depression. Was just pointing out some minor inconveniences I’ve had so far with the OS.
It’s an Apple Watch sub buddy, most people here will get personally offended if you talk badly about the watch here. Big fan of the watch myself but agree with your statement
Imagine having a CHOICE. You people are ridiculous, always advocating for accessibility but then completely removing the option tinhas the watch like you always have been.
They’ve revamped it so much I was raging quite a bit cos I kept pressing and swiping wrongly. Alas I think there’s nothing I can do other than to just get used to it.
After my S10e broke I bought a temporary iPhone XR and a 40mm S5. I actually enjoyed it so much so that I was almost considering getting another iPhone next so I can keep the watch. Then WatchOS 10 came along and I pretty much stopped using my watch. It became clunky and hard to navigate, everything got hidden behind tons of clicks, turns and touches. It made me buy an android and a Wear OS watch two weeks later and I haven’t looked back since.
I genuinely tried using WatchOS 10 and I gave the bloody “smart stack” a try, but this update literally pushed me to stop using my watch altogether.
I highly recommend going to Apple directly with your feedback about this. I am not joking, use the feedback App.
Done!
Things change. It’s not worse, mostly, just different.
I actually quite like it
I have the Ultra 2 so I do use the double tap gesture to move through widgets I have set up for glancing at stuff.
I’ve also never been much of a watch face swapper, tend to pick one, set it up and then let it rip
After a couple of days I got used to multi tasking so not an issue.
I’ve been running the developer beta’s since release and not really ran into any bugs luckily, didn’t have the weather compilation issue many had
They aren’t going to switch things back so it’s just the new normal, give it a few years and they will change things again, and we’ll just get used to them then as we do now
