my cat is incredibly particular about how she uses her litter box. she has a large domed box with a swinging door that we keep in a hall closet that is always ajar. the door of the box is flush with the wall, so she treats it like any other door in the house, which works nicely. when we’re hanging out on the balcony, she will ask to be let in so she can use her potty, then ask to be let back out with me when she’s done.

the part I find particularly strange is that she poops exclusively at the back of the box, and pees toward the front. I’ve been noticing this habit for weeks now, and as long as the box is cleaned regularly, she has no other noticeable litter habits.
