This is Ellie, and she is an absolute dingus.

We’ve had her since she was four and a half months old, and she’ll be four in June. She doesn’t by any means hate my husband at all. In fact, she lets him hold her like a parrot (she won’t let me do it and I don’t know how to explain it lol) and walk around the house with her perched up on his arm lol.

She follows him, sits in her bed in his office, plays with him, etc. Sometimes she’ll sit like 6-12” away from him on the couch but she’ll never sleep on him or lay on him. We don’t get it! You can put her on me and she’ll just lay there (the first two pics, I just took them haha). You put her on him and she’ll jump off almost immediately.

I have him do the wet food at dinner (shes obsessed with food) to try and increase the bond, but nothing seems to work. Figured I’d ask Reddit if anyone has any advice or if anyone has any similar cat dynamics.

For context, our last tortie would lay on both of us. She was my cat for years before I met him but warmed up to him quick. Ellie was introduced to us at the same time.
