I was curious what everyone’s opinion was on this topic. I adopted a kitty off Craigslist last year from an older woman who was going through a divorce. He had a not so great name so my husband and I changed it. He responds to it, and any variation of it. Like goombly, goombery, gomby, goofus, gomgom, gim gom, gim, gumtron, (the list goes on)

Maybe I’m projecting too much onto him but is it sad to change his name? Or maybe it’s a good thing, because he’s in a new environment?
