Received some devastating news today; my sister is severely allergic to cats, like the highest tier of allergy there is. We have had our cat for five years now, but the doctor says it’ll be bad for my sister’s physical development if she’s exposed too much. We will probably need to give her away, but I really don’t want to.

I’ve suggested making him a mainly outdoor cat if that is a viable solution. Is there any way to do this? Like if we were to set up a makeshift outdoor house for him, how big should it be? I feel a bit bad leaving him outside all the time so if it is inhumane I won’t do it. I’m also afraid that he’ll run into traffic, or contract a disease.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
