With a LinkedIn Recruiter licence you get X number of Inmails per month. If you send a message and get any kind of reply then you get a credit back. Even if you say “bite me” or hit the decline button, they get the credit.

The system is designed to send messages to active users so if you’re a potential candidate who goes on LinkedIn every 6 months you’ll get fewer or no messages.

Everybody is getting slammed with garbage Inmails it seems. Just ignore them. Don’t actively fight back, you’re feeding them if you do.

LinkedIn’s threshold for sending bulk Inmails Is a 13% reply rate, go below this and you have to send messages one at a time.

Why am itellling you this? I’m a recruiter and unfortunately we’re all tarred with the same brush. We’re at a 41% reply rate so I’m good and I’m happy to see the garbage players suffer!!
