We had an air tag which was completely useless as it needs to be in range of another iPhone to work. We live in a town close to the Arctic circle so although other cellular GPS works well, the variety of providers is limited so I’m not sure if that affects things.

I was reading about a lot of connectivity issues with Tractive trackers so I’m hesitant to go with that one. I’m not worried about having to pay a subscription but it seems there are lots of options for many different low quality trackers.

Any recommendations for a good one that works reliably even if a subscription is required?
