Leo’s old cat perch on its last legs. The top perch is super wobbly, and is on the verge of breaking off. He also scratched the corners of the perch to the point where the wood is exposed. He had it since he was a kitten, and loves it to death. Unfortunately, it’s not safe (also because he roughhouses, and it crashed to the floor more than once). So I bought him a new cat perch.

He loves it. He spent hours and hours on it (the cat nip helped initially). But then, the next day, I caught him napping in the old cat perch. (I set it aside, just in case he threw a fit because his beloved old perch was gone.)

Yesterday, I was hoping he would ditch the old one in favour of the new, but I guess not, lol. Much like a human baby that grew up and still sleeps with their baby blanket, Leo is a grown up cat that still likes his old, run-down cat perch.
