Hi all, i’m coming to this subreddit because I feel as if I am running out of options and don’t know what else to do to help my sweet girl.
Let me start by saying, I have already taken my cat to her vet. Lab work has been done, cerenia has been given for her vomiting as well as a steroid.
Beginning about 3 weeks ago, I noticed my cat started throwing up whole chunks of food that haven’t been digested fully. I tried a slow feeder and it didn’t help either. As time went on, she continued vomiting and I noticed what looked like weight loss. Thus, I took her to her veterinarian.
Lab work came back normal and her initial exam was fine. I asked if maybe I should change her food, they said only to do so if she started vomiting again.
A week has gone by with no vomiting, but today (or last night) it seems to have started up again. Her mannerisms seem normal, shes a very timid cat in general but loving when she wants to be. Shes a 4 and a half year old pure white, American shorthair.
I’ve added a photo of her vomit (sorry, ew). Does anyone have any advice or new food suggestions? She’s currently on purina pro plan indoor hairball, salmon and rice formula.
