I got this kitty a few months ago her name is noodle but I’ve noticed she doesn’t like the base of her tail being touched or the lower half of her tummy as she will either play bite me and sorta yelp likes she’s mad I touched there or reflex kick my hand if I even lightly touch there. It strikes me as weird and not normal because she likes ear scratches and her back being rubbed. Ive owned cats they just don’t like being petted I get it but I’ve never had one that certain areas are off limits per se. She is affectionate and follows me a lot and sleeps with me a lot so I dont think its a I hate this person thing lol. I was reading about skin sensitivity and was wondering if she had that maybe. Even when she’s heavy sleeping and I try to sneak a lower belly rub she’s still instinctively kicks my hand like its a sensitive area. Her last vet visit said she was healthy. So Idk its really weird and I’m wondering if she’s has a skin condition or something. She’s a Japanese bobtail if that matters. ​Obviously ill take her to the vet if I need to but was just curious if other people have experienced the same thing.
