Hello, we have recently gotten a new kitty! I’m not sure the age as she was a “stray” that nobody came looking for. We adopted her over two weeks ago!

She was in heat the first 10 days, and the last 7 days she has not been in heat. I do have an appointment scheduled for a spay and everything else, but that is not for another week!

My situation is my mother left the window open for too long and she got outside. She was out for over 14 hours and I managed to finally find her in the neighbors yard with two other cats. One of the cats was a male and was mounting her I managed to scare him off so he wasn’t on her for that long but I’m not sure how long she was around them. Afterwards she wouldn’t even come to me and was rolling around like she does when she is in heat.

My questions are how likely is it she has gotten pregnant, and what do I do? We cannot take care of kittens. Can she get pregnant if she is not in heat? Or can she make herself go into heat early, because a male cat was around her? When I brought her in she kept rolling around like she was in heat again but after a few minutes stopped and is normal now.

Anything helps as I’m so stressed over all this 😬😬😭 I know my appointment next week they can help answer any questions I have but any advice sooner will help me out
