This is Fish. Or Fisherman, or Fishface, or Fish Sticks, or Leech.

He’s an unneutered stray cat who’s been hanging around my family’s house for about two months now. After one month of him sadly staring in my home unfed, finally, I gave him treats. (Note: he’s well fed, so he’s either hunting or being fed somewhere else). He coexists with my two cats, not fighting them or intimidating them, despite them being in “his territory” (my yard).

Fish has now taken it upon himself to try and come into the house whenever I give treats. He cries when my cats eat and he doesn’t, staring sadly in my window like a Victorian child on the streets. He doesn’t let me pet him without food.

I can’t take him in, since we already have two cats and I’m about to leave for university. And he’s also more comfortable as a stray than as a housecat. But Fish is one of the most persistent of cat distributions I’ve ever seen. So… what do I do? I’m conflicted with his presence. And as I type this, he’s at my window now.
