So recently did the Capital One mini case interview and honestly… it didn’t go how I expected. Started off okay - got through the first couple questions. Then I hit one question where I just got completely stuck. The interviewer tried to nudge me a bit, but I went down the wrong path and couldn’t recover. What threw me off was that they ended the interview right there, saying they couldn’t proceed further due to company policy. That felt kinda rough toh. I get that I messed up that question, but the whole thing is supposed to be a “conversation” and test how you think - not just hinge on one calculation. I even asked if they could at least tell me the correct answer after, just so could learn from it, but they said they couldn’t share that either. Left the interview feeling like I didn’t really get a fair shot to show how I think overall, and also didn’t learn much from the experience. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Capital One’s case interviews? Or is this just how they normally run them?
