Hi guys! I love this subreddit sm and I honestly don’t know who else to talk to! So I’ve had my cat Bootsey since I was 9, I’m 19 now. We moved multiple times with my family and it was never a problem. He was an indoor/outdoor and would go out as he pleased. When I moved out he transitioned to a one bed apartment and balcony with maybe a week of constant crying at night. Next semester I have accepted an Internship in Florida around 20 hours from where I live now. My family thinks I should just have them watch him to avoid the hassle of him on the drive down and because i’ll have a roommate and busy schedule. But i’m anxious because my family is planning on moving houses while i’m down there and I just know they don’t take the cats as seriously as I do. I know he’ll likely be stressed without me and a new environment and my family will just be frustrated and not really care. I know it will be hard to bring him but he’s very attached to me and I don’t like the thought of him not receiving care to my standards! Please help!!
