Hi everyone,

This is our beautiful boy Tong Tong. He is 7 years old and we adopted him in Beijing in 2019. Two years later we moved to Shanghai and quickly realized that traveling with pets within China is not very easy. Trains do not allow pets, and only a few flights are suitable, usually requiring them to go in the cargo hold. It was definitely a bit stressful for our fluffy guy.

Now we are moving back to Germany next month. We have completed all the necessary paperwork and vaccinations for the EU, and we have booked a Lufthansa flight where Tong Tong can stay with us in the cabin.

That said, it will be a long journey, around 20 hours door to door, and we are understandably a bit worried about how he will handle it.

Does anyone here have experience with long haul travel with cats, especially in cabin? Any tips on how to make the trip as comfortable and stress free as possible would be greatly appreciated.
