Hello Reddit, I’m hoping that someone with more cat expertise than me can help advise me about this situation. There is a very sweet stray cat living in my backyard. He’s very gentle and affectionate, but he looks like he’s in pretty rough shape. Dirty, hungry, and very, very vocal. I put on some gloves and petted him for a while today after I fed him and gave him some water. I would like to potentially take him into a shelter to get checked out, but I’m not sure if they will take him in the condition he’s in. I’m attaching some pictures to see if anyone can identify any obvious issues. Advice on next steps would be very appreciated as well.
