I start my new job tomorrow. It’s my second job I’ve landed within 8 months. I’ll be working in a board of ed setting doing maintenance in the school district. Not the most glamorous but steady and secure work and really good benefits which is the most important for the kids. A little bittersweet since I’ve just been hanging out with my baby for the last month waiting to start but I’m ready to get back into a routine.

For all you still trying, I’ll say it and keep saying it again. You must leverage all of your contacts. Each and every one. It’s the only way to get your resume in front of someone. These applicant tracking and AI garbage tools is only making it harder as you all know.
