I was job hunting and saw online (indeed, linkedin, etc) that olive garden was hiring, full time plus tips. I went to their website to make sure it was real and applied from there. The “AI assistant” took my information, submitted it, and maybe a day later emailed me to schedule an interview. The day of they didn’t seem to be expecting me and the person that hires for the role I applied for wasn’t there, but the interview went really well otherwise, although they said the role was part time despite it being advertised as full time on every job site. They said to call the next morning if I didn’t hear back later that same day. I called back and they told me they aren’t even hiring right now then hung up. Got my hopes up and wasted my time, but I guess could have been prevented if I’d just called sooner to confirm. This was a while ago and I now work full time in retail. Good luck to anyone currently in the nightmare that is the application/interview process.
