So I came home from work the other morning and my back patio door was wide open. My older cat is terrified of The Outside and was at the front door demanding his breakfast. Well Tommy was gone. Straight up gone. Not in the apartment, not in his typically hiding spots no where. He wasn’t on the patio either, there is no place for him to hide out there. My only thoughts are he jumped from the 2nd floor patio and went on an adventure.

After spending two hours freaking out, running around the apartment complex screaming “TOMMY” while shaking a bag of cat food. I come back to my apartment to try and gain my composure I see this little fucker chilling on the patio that he wasn’t on at all when I got home. He’s safe, back at home acting like nothing happened.

The back patio door when locked will just randomly open on occasion, the apartment complexes management and maintenance team are aware of it and actually told me when I went in to ask for someone to come and fix the door so this doesn’t happen told me "Oh it’s a know issue and you have to make sure the door is fully locked " my response was I shouldn’t have to man handle a door to fully lock it and on top of that a door that is shut properly shouldn’t blow open on its own. This is a safety issue (I have a 3 year old) and needs to be fixed. Luckily one of my friends said if they don’t show up to fix it she’ll come and do it herself, since she knows what needs to be fixed.
