I’m in the final stage for a Project Manager role at a financial establisment and trying to sanity check where I stand.
I’ve gone through multiple interviews, met the team onsite, a tour of campus and completed a background + credit check (both cleared). I was even asked if I had questions about onboarding, which felt like a good sign.
Only wrinkle is the Wonderlic cognitive portion. First attempt had an issue, so I retook it. Result went from “learning problem solver” to “capable problem solver.” Recruiter said my personality/motivation scores were strong (very team-oriented), but wonderlic flagged me as “not interested in leadership,” which I think just reflects a collaborative style vs. managing people directly.
Now the recruiter said they’re meeting with managers Tuesday to discuss next steps. Since then, it’s been quiet and my references haven’t been contacted yet.
At this stage, does this sound like I’m the finalist and they’re aligning on an offer? Or still being compared?
