Hi! My cat is a neutered 10months old. He coughed once a month for 3 months, the coughing lasted less than a minute, so we initially thought he was trying to cough up a hairball. Anyway we took him in, and vet said his heart and lungs sound okay. Xray should be the only way to figure out what happened.

They said he has a bacterial lung infection, gave antibiotics for 14 days and dewormer for 5 days. His last dose was on Friday.

He has been having diarrhea, today being the worst.

And he also did throw up twice (food + hairball) once a week ago, and once today.

I have already spent $600+ on xrays and meds. I’ll take a loan if I have to. But I just wanna make sure this is not too worrisome, the antibiotics bottle did say “can cause diarrhea”, and his vomit had hair in

it, so l am hoping it’s just him passing a hairball?

His behavior is mostly okay, he just has trouble sleeping at night which we just amounted to his upset stomach.

Any advice would be great. Just a paranoid mom wanting the best for my baby. Thank you!!
