I have applied for a role at this company back in December (got a referral through LinkedIn).

The hiring process has ben chaotic with more than 5 different recruiters involved.

I had what was supposed to be my final interview back in February and did not hear back. I knew I did not perform to the best of my abilities so I did not bother following up.

Fast forward to April, I receive a call saying that they have rethought the role and think that I would be a good fit. We arrange another interview for the following week.

The interview comes and goes well. I perform better than the previous one and the hiring manager indicates that I should hear back soon.

Today, I receive a call from their recruiter saying that they want to make me an offer BUT it’s a level below the one I was interviewing for and a salary significantly below my last one (20k difference).

I am unemployed so not necessarily in a position to fight hard but also feel like that is not representative of my market value. I am not sure what I should do in this situation.
