This is more just a vent than anything.

I have graduated from college (2025) just to preface so they labeled it as a “volunteer” opportunity with the title intern. I have struggled to find a job outside of being a server…or of course unpaid work. I just needed something else for my resume and to show that I’m working.

I thought I was signing up for a documentary film prod company. Turns out it’s an AI startup. I drive about two hours to this guy’s house all of the time. He’s so incompetent and doesn’t respond to his texts. And talks about meditation and how he doesn’t have any hobbies because he supposedly works all of the time. He works with all of these like multimillionare tech people. He has me schedule all of the meetings, run the schedule page, go to meetings everyday by myself or with others, make tons of social media accounts for his ai stuff, run errands, send his mail & clean sometimes? I’m there like 9 to 5 on some weekdays and other days I’m just stressed about the next project he’s given me working on it at a cafe. And he pays for my food there so that’s nice, but I honestly just hate it and maybe if I was a student I would deal with it…but its honestly really draining me. I work at a catering company on top of it but that doesn’t pay the bills either. I wish I could just quit because “you shouldn’t work for free” but to be honest I’m struggling to find anything else and don’t really want to have a gaping hole on my resume.
