My wife and I had the pleasure of being adopted by Frank about 2.5 years ago. His previous owner passed away, and their kids didn’t want him so they abandoned him. He had been living as a stray for 1-2 years before we moved into our old apartment where he lived by. Every day he would chill on the steps to our apt waiting for us to get home to pet him. As it started getting colder, we couldn’t just let him live outside so we took him in. He lost his top right fang at some point before we found him, causing his lower fang to push his lip up so he always looked grumpy. He also had a massive ear infection/growth from being a stray, which we spent the last two years trying to fix.

We took him to the vet two weeks ago and got him some new meds which seemed to be working well, but it got worse Friday night/Saturday morning. His face swelled up, he stopped eating/drinking, and started hiding in our closet. We took him to an urgent vet that was open on Sunday’s who did some x-rays and showed us finally how bad the growth really was. She said she had never seen it that badly in a cat before and that the infection would likely take him soon. We made the decision to put him to sleep so he wouldn’t have to be suffering anymore.

We love you Frank. Thank you for coming into our lives and leaving the impact you did. Thank you for always being the sweetest boy despite looking grumpy all the time. You were the best cat I could’ve ever asked for.

I hope everyone enjoys these cute and silly photos of our friend.
