2 of our neighbourhood kitties have decided that one of our rhubarb plants does not deserve to have earth around the roots…(they only target that very specific rhubarb, there would be 4 others which are of no interest) They dont bite it or anything but they rub themselfs in the dirt and dig at its root. Ive never seen that behaviour before with rhubarbs and from what i know theyd be toxic on consumation? I have seen similar behaviour before with kiwi plants but kiwi are well known for having a similar effect to catnip… So do certain rhubarbs have that effect on cats as well? And if yes is it safe?
