I’ve heard of cats being scared of running ceiling fans, but mine is the exact opposite. I’ve had her since she was a young kitten, so as far as I know she hasn’t had any negative experiences with fans. The only thing I can think of is that I usually have mine running, so she may be more used to that than one that’s idle.

Still, she absolutely freaks out anytime she sees one that isn’t moving. She’s very comfortable with me holding her and walking around but the second she notices an idle fan, she locks onto it and tries to jump out of my arms.

It’s not so much an issue since I usually keep them running anyway, but I’m curious as to whether anyone else’s cat has the same odd reaction?
