To start off: Kitty has received vet care and we have a biopsy scheduled.

We have been feeding and watering this feral kitty on our backporch for a few years now. We noticed the issue on her nose about a year ago and it’s been on and off since. We wanted to get her medical attention for a long time, but could never successfully capture her because she’s smart and evades the traps.

Well, she showed up a few days ago with her nose very swollen and bleeding, so I impulsively grabbed her and put her into a cat carrier. Got her to the vet a couple days later and they were not able to tell exactly what’s going on, but a few things are possibilities. They gave her a steroid injection, antibiotic injection, and subcutaneous fluids that day. The photo is from today (2 days after vet), and it’s looking way better.

Tell me what you think…

(Also take into consideration that we are in Arizona)

- Reaction to mosquitos/bites

- Valley Fever (vet said it can come in the form of skin issues)

- Cryptococcus (fungal from soil/bird droppings)

- Some sort of bacterial infection
