A job is a job even if it’s a bridge job but lesson learned here. I didn’t expect this to be a bridge job, but I’m in absolute hell. I have dealt with startups before but nothing like this. I can’t call them out because I need my job. But please, know what you’re getting into.

It starts all nice and fluffy and then BOOM, you find yourself stuck with reactive management giving you vague direction, and you having to FIFO and all the responsibility and accountability of three full-time jobs rolled into one.

A new crisis every day. Slack messages before your day even starts and into the evening and weekends. Impromptu huddles that lasts an hour with no clear agenda or anything you can really act upon.

It was all there.

But you’ve gotta hit your numbers! And you’ve gotta show attribution. JFC, I hate this job market.

Keep your chin up and don’t let your guard down. Sure, rent must be paid, but read what other people are saying about the company (yes, with a grain of salt, but only to an extent).
