I am currently living in a pretty tight studio apartment with two cats, and honestly, the “cat smell” is starting to take over. Even though I scoop twice a day and use decent litter, it feels like the odor just hangs in the air, especially since there isn’t much ventilation. I have been looking into self-cleaning options to help, but I am super skeptical. I’m worried that the waste just sitting in a drawer for a week will actually make the smell worse.
Has anyone actually found an automatic litter box that doesn’t smell after a few days? I am looking for something that really seals everything off rather than just raking it into an open bin. I’ve seen a few brands that claim to have “odor-neutralizing tech,” but I can’t tell if it’s just marketing. For those of you in small spaces, what are you using that actually keeps the room smelling fresh?
