He’s the first pet I’ve ever had, and have raised him since he was only a few weeks old.

The vet visit today was a bit tough for him. Basically the vet tech would come in without knocking (he’s skittish and a darter) and kind of brushed him aside to get to the computer. She then proceeded to pick him up and feel his body for any issues without any treats or cautiousness, and I basically straight up told her she might get bit. I know it’s an issue, and I’ve been trying so hard to calm him down, but she was a bit overwhelming. It’s known he’s anxious as they provided me with medications before the visit.

With some treat tubes, he was able to finally get chipped, and he did it without freaking out. He did great with the distraction, and I’m so proud of him.

Even though he got sick from all the treats, he’s been cuddly as ever after the visit. I think he trusts me, and that means the world.
