I was in a long hiring process for one role where I completed five interviews, made it to the final round, and then was rejected after a three-week wait. Recruiter said they were very impressed with my resume.

I was then contacted about a different role because they liked me, (by the hiring manager)and I went through another extensive process with six interviews, again reaching the final round. The interviews felt very positive and conversational, and leadership indicated they liked me. I was told I would hear back the next day.

After I sent a thank-you, the hiring manager said she would follow up after syncing with the team. Since then, I saw the role being posted publicly on LinkedIn and haven’t heard back, so I’m expecting a rejection.
