Question for recruiters:
What happens if you locate a candidate for a contract role and then the company decides they want to hire them directly, full time?
I just applied for a contract role at a company I used to work for, for another company I contracted at. I told my friend (who is still at the company, full time) about the position and she said they needed one more person on full time and maybe 4-5 more contract positions.
Would it affect the recruiter negatively in any way if I didn’t get the contract role? I get that the company would lose out on their incentive/fee for finding me. But is the recruiter likely to lose out on a bonus or anything? She’s so sweet and new so I sorta feel bad if that’s the case, but I also want to know if she would have any personal incentive to hold me back from getting hired in directly.
