So basically I have a cat who will be 3 in December. His whole life he lived with my ex, her cat, and me. Well, they’re gone (I miss the cat so much). She came and picked her cat up a solid 2 months after she left for personal reasons (whatever, I love that cat, I did it for him). Every since she got her cat (a few weeks now) my guy just whines and meows and follows me around. Hes never been one to love being picked up without asking, and still isn’t, but i definitely feel like hes more needing of love recently. I have been toying with the idea of a new kitten, as he is high energy but will be friends with literally anything. Now im seeing that since he seems so attached to me, definitely far more so than before, it may actually cause issues. He does get a little jealous when the other cat would get attention from literally anyone. Ive been trying to not give him attention for meowing, but hes so clearly so sad and I feel bad
