So I’m not really sure how to explain this without rambling.

In January, I took in an outdoor cat. He was very happy inside until someone left the side door open, and his curious nature took over. He was gone from Saturday to today. Many neighbors saw him in their yards and he’d return to my porch, too.

Tonight, I had my garage door open and this cat came in and immediately climbed on top of some boxes and hid. He won’t let me get too close (but that’s very normal for my boy - he is very skittish and only ever wants human contact on his terms)

It *looks* like my boy, except there’s a white patch where there wasn’t one before. Did he lose hair? Or is this a different cat? I realize I sound very dumb here, but…
