So demoralised with the job hunting process. Was interviewing for a role and had a pretty good chat with the recruiter who moved me to the HM round. While I was providing my availability for the next round, there was a change in recruiter so I had to redo the chat. That went pretty great but then they wanted to review the role so I was put on hold just before speaking with the HM.

In another opportunity, I was already 4 rounds in, and was awaiting the 5th round this week. Each time, I got good positive feedback from the recruiter. Then out of a sudden, I received an email saying the business changed direction and they will no longer be proceeding with the 5th interview for me. This really came out of left field and I was so shocked.

Is this really the state of the job market now?
