So I just finished an interview with the HR who approached me yesterday. After all the questions were answered, she told me that the recruitment process would only proceed until the HR stage. So after this, my CV will be forwarded to the user/hiring manager, and they will be the ones to decide with HR’s recommendation during the interview. I personally think that I rocked my interview. I could answer all the questions, and the HR also seemed to listen to everything I said, even quickly responding to my thank-you email after the interview.

However, there’s a piece of me thinking that the hiring manager should be involved, like, how can they tell if I was telling the truth in my CV? What if there’s like an alma mater bias where actually my experience is more aligned than those top school graduates if they only give me a chance to speak it out during the technical test/user interview?

Well there’s nothing I can do right now other than improving my LinkedIn by getting some related certifications, just in case they happen to see my LinkedIn to do some background checking. Has this ever happened to you? Is there any recommendation you’d like to give to make me standout beside from CV that I already sent and also LinkedIn profile that I’m currently working on?

*Edit: well i’ll just put the edit here. This is a process for internship recruitment for final year students and fresh graduates, so they can be converted into full-timers later (pipelining).
