So… We lived in Goa and adopted a local cat from when she was a kitten. Her name is Cookie, and for 6 years, she was used to roaming freely in the jungle around our house, hunting things, and having fights with neighbor cats. We moved to Haarlem, Nederlands now and brought Cookie with us. A flight and medical papers were a separate story 🙃 Now for a month, she was an inside cat and dealt with it quite ok. But… we have access to outside yard and from there (apparently, as no fence can stop Cookie) to a little green park in the public square, and then to the road full of cars, etc. There are local cats who are roaming around, too. So we started to let Cookie out recently, and she has been a mess. Of course, she doesn’t want to stay in the backyard and makes her way to the square, with my wife jumping fences after the cat and bringing her in… Today’s morning, we got Cookie out of the argument with much bigger local Tom, who was very friendly, just sniffing, but Cookie went berserk and bit my wife quite hard… We really do not want our jungle demon to make trouble with neighbors and get lost… So what do you think, should we keep her inside? Should we still slowly introduce her to the neighborhood? Of course, she is super excited to be out, jumps trees, and all that. It’s really hard to keep her in once she discovered out.

Basically, we’re just asking if anyone in Redditland has any pertinent advice for us…
