Mv darling little Smudge cat is usually a very well behaved boy. We have been together for nearly a year now. Smudge cat has his meals at 05:40 12:40 and around 17:30. His first 2 meals of the day are delivered by automatic feeder.

He only eats wet food.

The only negative thing about Smudge is that he is totally and utterly food obsessed! He will spend up to 2 1/2 hours watching his feeder before his lunch. At breakfast time he starts shouting at his feeder at around 05:00 and occasionally bats it, it wakes both my partner and me. Without the feeder he was yelling at me for breakfast from 03:00.

If I do anything in the kitchen he will yell at me thinking it will involve giving him food. Does anyone have any advice for me please? I adore my Smudge cat but the constant shouting does get a little wearing. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can reduce the shouting please?
