Ive been unemployed for 1.5 years so this is nothing new, but it is still just laughable every single time. I’m not talking about applying to a job with 100’s of others and not hearing back. I’m talking like 3 rounds + a case study only for everyone at the company to mysteriously vanish off the face of the earth. Like not even a “Sorry, we’ve decided to go another direction”.

The other day a recruiter called me, left a voicemail saying hey I got your resume for this position but I think you’d be a great fit for this other one. I called him back, we spoke for 30 minutes. Ended with "ok I’ll send you the JD for these 2 roles, let me know which one you want to go for and I’ll get your resume in front of the client. Never got the email, so I followed up, and then poof… he disappeared off the face of the earth lol.

Can’t help but laugh sometimes…
